I have been encouraged by the public and private responses from teachers, districts, and WL organizations on this issue. On June 3rd, I received an email from Von Ray, owner of @tprsbooks. The email stated his personal views and invited me to a private zoom meeting. Below is my response. I have not heard back from him since.
My little YouTube channel reached 1K subscribers a few months ago but I was too busy with life, school, and health to do anything about it. I finally made a 1-min trailer to celebrate the milestone. Merci 🙏 🎉 ❤️ #comprehensibleinput #intercultural #French #letsread #teach4ic #worldlanguage #worldlanguages
Marching alongside people with shared beliefs gives me the strength and energy to carry on as a teacher, a mom, and an engaged citizen. #marchforourlives #everytownagainstgunviolence #momsdemandaction #endgunviolence The picture shows Cécile and Becky holding signs at the March for Our Lives. Cécile’s sign says “Ban Ar15s, not books”. Becky’s sign says “Pardon my French but F**K your guns. An angry French teacher”
Prop 8 funding by @TPRSbooks, a follow-up post and a renewed call to continue holding the company accountable:
