Make sure to check out episode #42 of the @wlclassroom podcast. Dr. Parodi speaks about his experience and research in creating LGBTQ+ inclusive spaces at the catholic school he teaches Spanish at.
Ya’ll I am so excited about this graphic novel. The Sci-Fi / Fantasy genre is so popular among our youth, yet we don’t have it in our language classroom libraries! I am thrilled to be able to contribute to the joy of reading in different languages ❤️
From the blog: Holidays are a bridge into students’ cultures, local cultures, and global cultures. So, if the ultimate goal for teaching a World Language is to increase empathy and cultural competency, and to reduce bias, then exposing our students to a wide variety of holidays may invite their curiosity, appreciation, and respect. I hope you and your students find these presentations helpful. Credit to Natasha Faroog et all. #French #frenchteachers #representation #representationmatters
My students love fantasy and science fiction but unfortunately there isn’t a single language reader of that genre in my classroom library. This is how this project was born. Been working on it for a year and I can’t wait to bring it to my students and to yours!
