SYNOPSIS

HOW TO USE THE GRAY PLANET SERIES IN YOUR CLASS
There are so many ways to use this series, but here is my favorite one:
First, use The Gray Planet and its free teacher guide as a classroom novel. This helps students get familiar with relevant vocabulary (like water, power, etc.), build confidence, and connect with the main characters. Next, create suspense by teasing some of the reflective questions provided at the end of the book. I usually asked my students to choose one question they want to answer.
Finally, let your students know there are two prequels—and that some of their questions (but not all…) will get answered in the prequels. Now watch them run to the bookshelf to read the rest of the series, motivated and ready for more.
